During her time with the company, Hilmi also provided support to a number of other stores across the country, including managing Carluke.
Aldi is Britain’s fifth largest supermarket with over 920 stores and around 38,000 employees.
Hilmi told Lanarkshire Live: “It has been a privilege to work at Aldi for 25 years.
“I love working here and it’s the customers and my colleagues who make the local store a great place to work.”
He is also proud of the range of Scottish goods stocked at Aldi and when asked about his favourite, Hilmi replied: “It has to be the Kilmarnock pie!”
Richard Holloway, Regional Managing Director of Aldi UK, told us: “Without the hard work and dedication of our colleagues in store, we would not be able to provide customers with the excellent and efficient service for which we have become known. .
“Colleagues like Hilmi are the lifeblood of our business and I thank him for his continued dedication over the past 25 years. I hope we will work together for many more years. »
